Veteran river guide Mitch Dion and filmmaker Tom Bartels take us on a journey down the Sacramento River. Along the way, they seek answers to their questions about the future of California’s natural resources and agricultural system. They find a river that has been permanently altered but retains pockets of wildness and solitude. They meet people who are dedicated to restoring a portion of the river’s historical function and abundance.
A discussion with the filmmakers will follow a screening of their award-winning beautiful film.
